Sourced with East Texas history in mind
East Texas has a long timber and agricultural history, which means old barns, mills, and structures throughout the region sometimes yield salvageable heartwood pine and oak — material that's already fully cured and stable after decades of aging, unlike freshly milled lumber.
When reclaimed material isn't available or suitable, we can custom-mill new heartwood to match a similar profile, so the character of a reclaimed look is still achievable even when a truly salvaged source isn't on hand.

Is reclaimed timber more expensive?
Usually yes, due to sourcing, inspection, and milling labor — but many clients find the character worth it for a feature floor or a full historic restoration.
Is reclaimed wood structurally sound?
We inspect every piece before milling. Sound material is cured and stable, often more dimensionally stable than new lumber, but we reject anything that doesn't hold up.
Can you match a custom width or profile?
Yes — custom milling lets us match specific widths and profiles, whether you're extending an existing floor or matching a particular historic look.
